Two dead, including gunman, and atleast two critically injured in Azusa shooting as polling station is on lockdown

A polling station in Azusa, California, is currently on lockdown after reports of two people dead, including the gunman, and at least two people critically wounded with numerous shots fired, according to Azusa Police Department.

Azusa PD also confirm that the heavily armed gunman was found dead inside a home after a standoff with police which lasted several hours.

They are not sure if the gunman was killed by police or a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A male voter told CNN that he was inside the station when shooting broke out and people from outside started to rush in before officials locked the stations doors.

One female voter said that officials were not letting anyone out the building and that there are about 30 people who remain inside including children.

The shots were not fired inside the polling station.

Azusa Police Department have confirmed that the first officers on the scene came under fire and that all officers are now accounted for, safe and rescued.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter has transported at least two shooting victims to a nearby hospital.
