USA VOTES 2016

The latest news & results from the 2016 US election campaign

DNC Response to Debate was ‘lol’

On Wednesday the 18th of May 2016, Micheal Briggs of the Bernie Sanders campaign sent an email to Jeremy Brinster at the Democratic National Committee with the subject line ‘Sanders Welcomes California Debate’ a debate which we now know never happened. The email was the Sanders campaign requesting that the DNC to assist in helping the debate take place with the Clinton campaign ‘balking’ on their previous commitment to the debate.

However, the first response was from Communications Director for the DNC Luis Miranda to other senior DNC officials and even DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. This first response was a very simple, childish and mocking “lol!”

This is one of the many signals that have come from the Wikileaks that the Democratic National Committee acted in an unfair and bias manner. It is also a clear sign that the DNC had no interest in staying out-of-the-way of allowing a fair fight between the two candidates. It is also becoming more and more clear that the DNC did not only prefer Clinton but deliberately acted in a way which would explicitly aid the Clinton campaign and deliberately act against the Sanders campaign.
