USA VOTES 2016

The latest news & results from the 2016 US election campaign

November 9, 2016 By Charlotte Giorgi Leave a Comment

Who’s taking the pic?

Bernie Sanders once in the running for the presidency with his chief competitor being Hillary Clinton at the time, now shows his support to Hillary.

Posting a photo to more than four million Facebook followers on his official online page. With 90 thousand responses to his latest post of a slightly blurred quick photo he had taken of a polling station (state and polling station not specified).

With 1344k responses and 8,038 shares he shows his support for Hillary Clinton: ‘I hope today we will defeat Trump, and we defeat him badly’.

Many celebrities have jumped on the political openness with posts of who they are voting for: Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Eric Trump to name only a few.

Perry posting a photo supporting ‘her girl’ and Timberlake supporting his vote with a selfie; a map emerged of where US elections ‘Ballot Selfies’ are allowed to be taken.

George W. Bush and wife Laura, have been reported to have left their ballot papers without a vote for either main party candidate Trump or Clinton. It is unclear whether they didn’t vote in the next president or put another third party poll vote.

Interestingly when Bush was in power he was running for the republican party and refused to support Trump running for the same Party.

A story was posted on CNN 21:41 GMT about how Eric Trump may have broken the law with his ballot paper tweet, now deleted. But a member of the Trump family breaking the rules at such a critical time is certainly a worry?
