USA VOTES 2016

The latest news & results from the 2016 US election campaign

November 9, 2016 By Tommy Churchyard Leave a Comment

Odds of Trump becoming president slashed

Within the past hour, Donald Trump has gone from vast outsider to strong contender with the bookmakers. His odds have been slashed from 12/1 to 5/6, as key battleground states are proving too close to call.

With the winner of many key swing states set to be announced shortly, Democrats will be beginning to bite their finger nails as this unwelcome surprise continues to develop.

Just a short while ago it was looking as though Hillary Clinton had a clear path to victory, but that path has quickly clouded over.

This election is well and truly neck and neck and has the potential to go right to the wire. However, whilst bookies odds can often be taken with a pinch of salt, Trump’s odds are only appearing to go one way – towards the White House.
