YouTube entrepreneur Casey Neistat and his team at Beam have released Exit Poll Live, an app allowing voters to announce who you have voted for and interact with others as the votes roll in.
Yesterday, Neistat released a video announcing the app he defined as a place for voters and non-voters alike to say who you’re voting for. Through the use of 60 second videos, voters are able to give their opinions about the election and who they have voted for.
Available on both Android and Apple, it is also available internationally. This gives outsiders the opportunity to include their opinions and interact with others as part of an ongoing video. This feed will link to their Facebook page, allowing people to follow the trail voters are leaving, discovering their opinions as part of an organised live stream.
“Hillary Clinton. I will be voting, for Hillary Clinton.” – Casey Neistat
Neistat has been open and honest throughout the election, releasing a video earlier on in the month announcing that he is voting for Hillary Clinton and that other stars on the YouTube platform should announce who they are voting for as well.
However, he received a substantial amount of backlash for doing so. You Tube personalities including Grace Helbig, Philip DeFranco and H3h3 Productions released videos in response to this, supporting and disregarding the original video, with some feeling disappointed that he decided to call on other You Tubers to do the same.
The App is available through both the Android and Apple app stores, with the Facebook feed available throughout the voting process.
