President Barack Obama once again endorsed Hillary Clinton in the highlight of day three of the Democratic National Convention here in Philadelphia.
Obama used his speech to explain to the DNC why Hillary Clinton is the “most qualified” candidate to move into the Whitehouse this November.
The DNC erupted when Hillary Clinton made as surprise appearance after the President finished speaking, leaving the arena shocked and hysterical.

The atmosphere ballooned between silence and jubilation as the speech went on. It went from a situation where you could hear a pin drop to one where you couldn’t hear yourself think.
Some delegates were overwhelmed, breaking down into tears at seeing the first black President of the United States make one of his final high profile speeches before handing over the reins in November.
He admitted he had fallen short on some of his goals whilst in office, but said he trusts Hillary Clinton to steer the United States in the right direction.
Of course, the President couldn’t help but criticise Donald Trump. After the crowd booed a mention of the Republican candidate, Obama calmly said “don’t boo, vote” which left the arena laughing and cheering.
One of the best moments of the speech was when Obama said: “The American dream isn’t something that a wall can contain” in a clever jibe at Donald Trump.
Obama also tried to further unite the party behind Hillary Clinton, praising Bernie Sanders which was very popular with the audience.
Sanders supporters continued to make their views heard on day three though, occupying the media centre once again in an attempt to show their love for the senator.
There were some famous faces there too, with actress Shailene Woodley leading the demonstration.
Once again, the protest was peaceful and dissipated within two hours.
Vice-President Joe Biden declared the 21st Century as “America’s century” as he gave a powerful, passionate and patriotic speech that just like Obama’s, found time to take apart Donald Trump.
The V-P’s speech also hailed Barack Obama as “one of the finest Presidents we’ve ever had,” as he tried to rally the troops and do his bit to unify the party.
The DNC also heard from the man who could fill Biden’s shoes, as Tim Kaine tried to shake off his boring tag by giving an animated speech.

The senator unsurprisingly criticised Donald Trump, impersonating him with the Republican candidates must used phrase: “believe me.” The impersonation needed work, but the speech was good as he worked the crowd who loudly responded “NO” as Kaine asked the DNC if they believed Donald Trump’s promises.
Day three certainly had the most star power so far, with powerful speeches and a superb atmosphere in Philadelphia.
On the final day of the convention we will see a speech from Hillary Clinton – the first female Presidential candidate for the United States.
